MOTION PICTURE HISTORICAL AND DOCUMENTARY FILMS March of the Movies: A program of excerpts from many of the earliest scenes ever photographed, briefly tracing the history of the motion picture from Edison to the present. Tuesday, March 14, 4 p.m., Auditorium Man of Aran, a feature documentary film directed by Robert Flaherty, depicting the drama of man against the elements on the storm-swept Aran Islands off the Western coast of Ireland. Night Mail, a documentary film produced by John Grierson, directed by Harry Watt and Basil Wright, music by Benjamin Britten, commentary in verse by W. H. Audcn: the human meaning behind the nightly journey of the Postal Special from London to Glasgow. Translation into visual imagery of a love poem by Robert Dresnos. Emak Bakia, a surrealistic sequence of associations: rhythms with objects. The title means, in Basque, "Who cares?"
