The new
Season
Musical families and young professional musicians dominate our new
brochure. The season opens with Italian pianist Davide Franceschetti and
concludes with Christopher Maltman, a young English baritone much in
demand internationally. In between we are delighted to include the Barritts
alias Divertimenti... in a Sunday afternoon concert, complete with
afternoon tea and a short talk to be delivered by Professor Basil Deane.
A former BBC Young Musician, Colin Currie, (Percussion) and the German
clarinettist lb Haussman, along with Dublin pianist Finghan Collins, complete
the list... except for our own Parker Pen Families Concert. This unique
event includes a wealth of talent from some of Northern Ireland's most
musical families... youngest performer 8 years and the oldest not quite
as old as BMS! We have commissioned Elaine Agnew, one of the province's
established young composers, to write a new suite for our families...
should be fun! Do join us - we value your continued support.
