Bernard d'Ascoli Bernard d'Ascoli was born in Provence in the South of France in 1958 and began learning piano and organ at the age of eleven. He has performed in many of the world's most prestigious venues and with most London and other British orchestras as well as with many major overseas ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Boston Symphony. Bernard d'Ascoli has recorded albums of Chopin and Schumann for Nimbus and has made regular recordings as well as live broadcasts for the BBC. Wolfgang Holzmair Russell Ryan Wolfgang Holzmair performs in recitals throughout the world. His extensive discography, including recordings of German Lieder and Mélodies Françaises, have met with critical acclaim. Russell Ryan has appeared frequently on international. platforms and has been featured on radio and TV productions worldwide. Angela Hewitt Angela Hewitt has been hailed as "one of the outstanding Bach pianists of our time" (The Sunday Times, London, 1997), In 1994 she embarked on a ten-year project to record all of the major keyboard works by Bach for the Hyperion label The Inventions, French Suites, and Partitas have all been included in Gramophone magazine's "Editors Choice" and are receiving worldwide acclaim for their artistry, "effortlessly eclipsing all competitors" (Gramophone, 1997). Her recording of Book I of the Well-Tempered Clavier was featured as Pick of the Month in the BBC Music Magazine, in Gramophone's Critics' Choice, and in the Sunday Times Best CDs of 1998. She has performed throughout North America and Europe, as well as in Japan, Australia, China, Mexico, and the former Soviet Union. Vogler String Quartet The Vogler Quartet is now established as one of Europe's leading quartets. Their international schedule includes regular appearances at London's Wigmore Hall, the Louvre and Théatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Munich, Hamburg, at the Schauspielhaus Berlin (performing a four concert cycle each year), in Vienna, New York, Kennedy Center Washington, Madrid, Lisbon, Athens, Rome, Palermo and Zurich. In the 1999/2000 season the Vogler Quartet will celebrate its 15th anniversary with Beethoven cycles in Toronto, Seville and Valencia and tours to the US and Canada. In September 2000 they make their debut in New Zealand and will tour Japan.
