The BMS has been able to arrange a fine series
of CELEBRITY CONCERTS for their 70th
season, 1990-91, at the Elmwood Hall, thanks to
continued support from the Arts Council of
Northern Ireland, and to most generous
sponsorship from the Belfast City Council.
Everyone is welcome. There is no formality
about becoming a subscriber- just fill in the
attached form. Tickets for individual concerts
are available only at the door, or from Koinonia
of Pottinger's Entry, off High Street, from
Marcus Music of 113, North Street, and from
James Morton Pianos, 88, Great Victoria Street.

SIONED WILLIAMS, harp
Neil Mackie is an internationally known
artist. In 1988/89 season Mr Mackie toured
America with the Scottish Chamber
Orchestra, and he toured Mexico for the
British Council.
Sioned Williams is principal harpist of
the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and will
travel with them to Japan and Hong Kong
in the spring.

Raphael Wallfisch is an established
chamber music player, performing in a duo
with his father, the pianist Peter Wallfisch.
This season he returns to Sweden to lead
masterclasses and workshops, whilst last
season he participated in the Piatigorsky
Seminars in Los Angeles. He records
exclusively for Chandos.

of the Schott Ensemble Competition, the
group has already performed in France,
Germany, Holland and Spain, and been

Music Network. They have been acclaimed
in the Dutch and English press as 'stunning'.

chamber music, including materpieces which are
landmarks in European culture, for 70 years. Some
of the world-famous artists who have played and
sung for us have included the Amadeus Quartet,
Elly Ameling, Claudio Arrau, Vladimir Ashkenazy,
Janet Baker, Pierre Bernac and Francis Poulenc,
Alfred Brendet, Barry Douglas, Kathleen Ferrier,
